Sherman Business Law

Steven M. Sherman specializes in complex commercial litigation including prosecuting securities and antitrust class actions, arbitration, and small business advisory.

Mr. Sherman has eighteen years of experience representing investors and investment professionals in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and in matters pending before federal and state securities regulatory agencies. Mr. Sherman has practiced law with Shearson Lehman Hutton in New York City and with Gold & Bennett (now known as Cera, LLP), a San Francisco law firm specializing in plaintiff class actions and other complex litigation.

He is a 1985 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in finance and a minor in economics. Mr. Sherman received his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, in 1988. In addition to several district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Mr. Sherman has been admitted to the bars of the following states: New Jersey (1988); New York (1989); Florida (1989); and California (1993). Mr. Sherman recently retired from the New Jersey Bar.
